Scutellum with engraved and weak reticulation; median carina on propodeum narrow, LC/WC = 4.7, with sides converging towards posterior part or sides parallel, median carina obliterated by reticulation in posterior ¼-1/3; hind tibial spur long, LS/LT = 0.30. < /FONT >

Biology
The type series is attached to a large Lepidoptera pupa from which they have merged. The pupa shows a strong resemblance to pupae of the skipper genus Perichares (Lepidoptera: Hesperiidae), with the front end drawn out in a long “nose”. It can not be excluded that the Horismenus specimens have merged from a parasitoid host inside the Lepidoptera pupa.
